Back in May, a dream came true for extreme athlete Christian Arehart when he landed a quadruple backflip on his mountain bike. It was a world first. Arehart put months of effort into the project. He and his friends even built a special ramp and took a road trip across the country to attempt the elusive quad backflip at MidAmerica Outdoors, a park for outdoor recreation in Oklahoma—the perfect place to set a new mountain biking record.

“After months of extremely hard work and a lot of people and brands believing in me! I have landed the first quad backflip on a mountain bike!!” wrote Arehart in his post announcing the feat. He’s since posted about the incredible moment several times, and recent news coverage from his hometown has the video circling online once again.
