Marco Bassot, an Italian snowboarder and mountain biker, continues to do things on his mountain bike that most people think is impossible. For instance, he recently rode a nearly non-existent path along the craggiest rock structure poking up out of the Atlantic Ocean. In case you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to ride a mountain bike on a sliver of cliff over the ocean, here’s a glimpse into Bassot’s wild world.

“Touching the void on the most breathtaking cliff of El Hierro,” wrote Bassot in his Instagram post sharing the helmet-cam footage. “Have you seen the arch?? When I arrived at this spot some days ago I couldn’t believe my eyes. Such an aesthetic line directly on the Atlantic ocean. Huge impressive arch in front and those awesome cliffs . . . just wow. No mistake allowed. My heart on fire. The adrenaline chute is massive.”
